Meghna Gulzar did an awesome job directing “Sam Bahadur.” The war scenes are like, whoa! So real and intense, it’s like you’re right there. The second part of the movie is especially cool. While it might not be better than Gulzar’s other movies, “Sam Bahadur” is definitely something special on its own.
Casting Brilliance: Stars in Sam Bahadur
Vicky Kaushal’s interpretation of Sam Manekshaw, however, shines. His act helps in adding life and realness to the figure which for a while makes it difficult to distinguish between the actor and the real person. Sanya Malhotra does an excellent job, bringing more meaning out of it. Unfortunately, Fatima Sana Shaikh has not done much to justify the role played in the movie by the late Indra Gandhi.
Budget and Clash with “Animal”:
“Sam Bahadur” cost around 55 crores to make, and it’s really worth watching. But here’s the thing – it came out at the same time as Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal,” and that might make it a bit tough for “Sam Bahadur” at the box office. People are worried it might not do as well because of the competition. Still, the movie is good on its own, showing how much effort went into making it awesome.
